Great Party Game for Your Super Bowl Bash
Here’s a fun, new twist for your next Super Bowl party. Get your team spirit going with a great way to kick off your Super Bowl party!

The Top Five Super Bowls of All Time
Ah, the Super Bowl. A time for parties, pizza, great commercials, and, of course, wardrobe malfunctions. There’s nothing quite like the Big Game to make people stand up and cheer, cheer for their team, cheer for their friend’s team, and cheer for a great halftime show. This year’s Super Bowl, set to kick off on February 4, and could be one of the best ever. Not only is it located in beautiful, sunny and always a party Miami, but it also features the recipe for an exceptional game. Take one great offensive team, add one great defensive team, and mix with Gatorade and let sit for four quarters. The end result: priceless.

Greatest Super Bowl Commercials
For people who aren’t sports fans, the Super Bowl isn’t about winning or losing. It’s not about which player is named MVP or which team hoists the Lombardi trophy overhead at the fourth quarter’s end. It’s not about which coach is submerged in a Gatorade bath. It’s about one thing, and one thing only: the commercials. Without the commercials, the TV airing the Super Bowl may as well be turned off, or worse, turned to Lifetime.

How To Improve Your Football Skills As A Defensive Lineman

Bears-Patriots NFL Game of the Year

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

No Defending That Loss
If Sunday night’s 45-21 loss to the Colts in Indy signaled nothing else, it’s that changes better be on the horizon for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Black Sunday
Donovan McNabb’s torn ACL and a 31-13 loss to the previously 2-7 Tennessee Titans at the Linc makes for a pretty dark day for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Donovan McNabb: Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Donovan McNabb was born on November 25, 1976. After attending Syracuse University, McNabb now serves as quarterback for the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.

Bears-Patriots NFL Game of the Year
Last year about this time, I wrote an article calling the 2005 Chicago Bears the Modern Day Monsters of the Midway, but an early exit in the playoffs didn’t leave them looking so monstrous. Despite the ups and downs of Rex Grossman, it is apparent that the 2006 Chicago Bears are a better offensive football team and a win at New England against a proven champion this Sunday could be our first sign that the Bears are good enough to get back to the big one. Chicago will be hoping for some of that same magic which handed the New England Patriots a 46-10 loss in Super Bowl 20.

What Bobby and Whitney Can Teach Us About Football

Monday, October 16th, 2006

49ers Head Coach Mike Nolan Reads the Ferringo Report!
Their first play from scrimmage was a 74-yard touchdown from Charlie Frye to Braylon Edwards. That was it. Frye was the right guy for the job! Edwards was back! The Dawg Pound was going berserk! The Cleveland Curse was exorcised! There would be peace in the Middle East! Global warming would be no more!

What Bobby and Whitney Can Teach Us About Football
Chemistry is that aura that cloaks the Indianapolis offense when it takes the field for a two-minute drill. It’s also there when the Chicago defense is crowding the line on third-and-long. Conversely, the lack of chemistry is what makes the Raiders locker room - with Randy Moss, Aaron Brooks, Al Davis and That Guy From Idaho - about as normal as a Flavor Flav-Brigitte Neilson and Charlie Sheen-Denise Richards double-date.

NFL QB Controversies: Who Will Keep Their Job?

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006

NFL QB Controversies: Who Will Keep Their Job?
There is nothing more potentially distracting to an NFL team than a quarterback controversy. When a starter has his job threatened by a precocious backup, or loses it altogether, it can divide the team and hurt a whining millionaire’s feelings. Ask Trent Green or Rob Johnson if they are sending Christmas cards to Kurt Warner or Doug Flutie.

Quarterbacks and Defense
As the NFL season opens this week, let’s get back to some basics when it comes to handicapping football: You win (and cover) with quarterbacks and defense. There’s really no truer adage in football. Betting lines take these factors into account, and you can understand why. The offense revolves around the play of the quarterback, the only player on offense who touches the ball every play.

Salary Caps in Pro Sports: the Cost of Players vs Owners
Salary Caps: the NFL has one, the NBA has one, the NHL now has one all that is left is for the MLB to install one. The basic premise of the salary cap is to ensure that owners of a team are not gouged by the ever-increasing costs of players for the respective sport.
