Kings of Leon: Only by the Night Review

By Ricky Davies

Let me first say before I start I have all the other albums by the Kings of Leon, so before you bash me or my review I know that there are going to be some die hard fans who are going to hate this album because it is so different from anything else they have made in the past, however in my opinion this is a good thing after all why would you continue to buy and listen to the same music all of the time. Listening to the same music day in and day out will not only cause your ears to bleed but it will also change your brain to mush. Of course I’m just kidding but diversity is sometimes welcomed as it is in this case.

This album shows the growing up of the Kings of Leon and I’m sure this different direction will lose some of their hardcore fans; however I’m sure it will bring them a new set of fans in the process. This new direction from the kings in my opinion is awesome. The music is easy on the ears, moving and sometimes even inspiring. The vocals from Caleb are also inspiring.

If you like the Kings of Leon or have liked any of their tracks in the past then odds are you are going to love this album. I haven’t stopped listening to this album since I have got it and can gladly say there isn’t one bad musical track on the entire album.

If you are undecided whether to get this album the just trust me on this one, get it and listen to it until you can listen to it anymore, however I’m unsure when that will be, because you will love Only by the Night by The Kings of Leon.
