Clint Eastwood Interview on Flags of Our Fathers
CBS News had a quick interview with director Clint Eastwood on his latest film Flags of Our Fathers.
In February, 1945, one of the fiercest battles of the Pacific theater of World War II occurs on the tiny island of Iwo Jima. Thousands of Marines attack the stronghold maintained by thousands of Japanese, and the slaughter on both sides is horrific. Early in the battle, an American flag is raised atop the high point, Mount Suribachi, and a photograph of the raising becomes an American cause celebre. As a powerful inspiration to war-sick Americans, the photo becomes a symbol of the Allied cause. The three surviving flag raisers, Rene Gagnon, John Bradley, and Ira Hayes, are whisked back to civilization to help raise funds for the war effort. But the accolades for heroism heaped upon the three men are at odds with their own personal realizations that thousands of real heroes lie dead on Iwo Jima, and that their own contributions to the fight are only symbolic and not deserving of the singling out they are experiencing. Each of the three must come to terms with the honors, exploitation, and grief that they face simply for being in a photograph.

Driving Essentials: Tips For Driving In The Snow
Whether you are a driver that has recently passed, or an experienced driver, traveling in the snow can greatly affect the way you need to drive the car and also how your car behaves.
Driving Essentials: Tips For Driving In The Fog
Driving in foggy conditions can potentially be very dangerous, and so it is imperative that you take great caution. According to statistics it is the most dangerous driving hazard in existence.
Parent Teen Contract for Teen Drivers
Will you have rules for your teen driver? Here is a parent - teen contract that you can use.
Teen Driving Statistics
The information allows us to ponder if teen driving needs to be revisited on a national level. How are teen drivers being educated by driving schools? Do we need to increase the amount of time for driver training?
Saving Teen Lives While Driving
The National Highway and Traffic Safety estimates that of the 26 million 15 - 20 year olds, 7500 of them will be involved in fatal car accidents.
Rules of Teen Driving
While states have their own individual rules that pertain to teen driving, parents should take more of an initiative to create their own rules for their children who are old enough to drive.
Mitsubishi Lancer, 2007: The Weekly Driver
In recent years, Mitsubishi has touted its sports cars with a series of overproduced television commercials. In one spot, several pretty young women are singing and smiling and zipping around under flashing city lights and through tunnels somehow equipped with multicolored lasers. The women seemingly don’t have a care in the world. They’re on the town. They’re having a grand time. They’re driving really fast and techno-pop tunes are blaring. Combine that group with young male drivers with the same wont to go fast and a likely desire to catch-up to their female counterparts somewhere at the end of the tunnel and you’ve got a captive audience ready and willing to buy Mitsubishi’s speed demon, the Lancer Evolution.
Improving Young Drivers
Automobile crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers — an average of 16 young lives lost every day in this country. This frightening statistic has racecar drivers speaking out and doing something to help. A new safety video put together by Andy Pilgrim, the reigning SPEED World Challenge GT champion for Team Cadillac, and his NASCAR buddy, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., gives first-time drivers a serious lesson in road manners…right from the start. In the video, The Driving Zone, Pilgrim and Earnhardt stress cutting out distraction and focusing on the task of driving. The video takes young drivers through several scenarios and describes the right way to handle distractions, such as other passengers, cell phones and loud music.
Creating a Family Plan for Teenage Drivers
September 2006 (Medialink) - Learning to drive is a rite of passage. But for teenagers, it’s a dangerous time. Did you know that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers? So what can parents do to help reduce the risks for their teenage drivers? Experts say the first thing to do is to map out a family plan. A family plan and contract has to include at least two things: one, a restriction on nighttime driving; and two, a restriction on passengers. Teens have to know that they are at a much higher risk when they drive at night and with other passengers in the car. Parents can contribute directly to their child’s safety by requiring them to use safety belts at all times. They should also encourage their teen drivers to never drink while driving or ride with anyone who has been drinking.

What Theme Did The Movie Marie Antoinette Fall Under?
Marie Antoinette was director Sofia Coppola’s third film. Critically applauded, some say that this film centered around the theme of the loneliness of being female, surrounded by a universe of people, those who know how to use and abuse you rather than to understand and value you. Coppola’s earlier films also seem to echo the same theme as she subtly succeeds to draw notes from the actresses who rarely seem to sound the subject.
Film Review: Happy Feet
Happy Feet is a wacky, toe-tapping animated charmer. In its surface, children can find it playful, fun and enjoyable (though the last part becomes quite advanced for the toddlers). In a deeper level, the film becomes a brave, heartfelt, triumphant, and surprising cinematic accomplishment with moral lessons in it.
Movie Review: Saw 3
Saw 3 is a decent horror movie for Halloween but fails to live up to the originality and freshness of the two previous installments. The plot and traps are rather stale and with the exception of Tobin Bell, the acting needs improvement. The door was left open for a potential Saw 4, and let’s just hope writer Leigh Whannell can come up with some fresher ideas.
Movie Review: Nacho Libre
I was prowling for a good comedy while I was in Blockbuster when Nacho Libre first came out. I remember seeing the trailers of this movie and though it might be a blast to see as it looked really funny. After all, Jack Black was in it. He’s one of my favorite comedians as I really enjoyed him in School of Rock. I’m also a big pro wrestling fan so I thought Well hey, if you throw in Jack Black and pro wrestling. It’s got to be good!

Miami Vice: Naomie Harris Interview
Miami Vice Naomie Harris interview by Chuck the Movieguy. Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) is urbane and dead smart. He lives with Bronx-born Intel analyst Trudy (Naomie Harris), as they work undercover transporting drug loads into South Florida to identify a group responsible for three murders. Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) [to the untrained eye, his presentation may seem unorthodox, but procedurally, he is sound] is charismatic and flirtatious until - while undercover working with the supplier of the South Florida group - he gets romantically entangled with Isabella (Gong Li), the Chinese-Cuban wife of an arms and drugs trafficker. The best undercover identity is oneself with the volume turned up and restraint unplugged. The intensity of the case pushes Crockett and Tubbs out onto the edge where identity and fabrication become blurred, where cop and player become one - especially for Crockett in his romance with Isabella and for Tubbs in the provocation of an assault on those he loves.
Charlotte’s Web: Dakota Fanning Interview
Chuck the Movieguy interviews Dakota Fanning for the movie Charlotte’s Web. Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.
We Are Marshall: Matthew McConaughey Interview
Chuck the Movieguy interviews Matthew McConaughey for the movie We Are Marshall. When a plane crash claims the lives of members of the Marshall University football team and some of its fans, the team’s new coach (McConaughey) and his surviving players try to keep the football program alive.
Black Christmas: Michelle Trachtenberg and Mary Elizabeth
Chuck the Mo
vieguy interviews Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Michelle Trachtenberg from the movie Black Christmas Xmas. Black Christmas is a remake of the 1974 horror movie Black Christmas. The movie tells the story about Billy, a young boy whom his mother as a child abused. While his mother was cheating on Billy’s father, she eventually killed his father and kept Billy in the attic - for good, while she was with her lover and starting a new family. As Billy’s mother fell pregnant with a daughter and treated her with love, which Billy had never experienced with his mother, Billy came out of the attic after years and brutally murdered his mother and her lover. Cut to present day, a group of eight sorority sisters consisting of Kelli (Katie Cassidy), Dana (Lacey Chabert), Lauren (Crystal Lowe), Megan (Jessica Harmon), Claire (Leela Savasta), Heather (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Megan (Jessica Harmon) and Melissa (Michelle Trachtenberg) and their house mother (Andrea Martin), who now live in Billy’s childhood home, find themselves being harassed by threatening and intimidating mystery phone-calls during Christmas Break and as one of the girls goes missing, the girls begin being murdered one by one by no other than Billy.
